When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and your kid's age. When you use the app, we store the nights you log, any notes you write, moon photos you upload, and your streak count. We do not collect your location, your device data, or any information about your kid beyond the age you optionally provide.
Your data powers the app — to send you the nightly SMS nudge, generate your Memory Book, personalize prompts to your kid's age, and save your journal entries. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for any purpose other than making NightLog work for you.
If you provide your phone number and opt in, we send one SMS per night at approximately 8 pm. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text, or updating your preferences in the app. Premium members receive a monthly Memory Book email on the first of each month. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Moon photos you upload are stored securely and used only to display in your journal, generate your Memory Book, and optionally appear in the weekly Top Shots leaderboard. Your photos are never shared with third parties and never used to train AI models.
NightLog uses Supabase for database and authentication, Twilio for SMS delivery, Resend for email delivery, OpenAI for the AI Dad Voice feature, and Vercel for hosting. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data, journal entries, photos, and logs are permanently deleted within 30 days. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.
NightLog is designed for parents, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The kid age field is used only to personalize prompts and is stored as a number — no name, no profile, no account is created for your child.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your information inside the app or contact us directly. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
